Forum overview
This sub-forum aims to build a targeted academic and industrial exchange platform under Ethiopian Water and Energy Week. It brings together Chinese and African government officials, university scholars and industrial experts to share advanced technologies, practical experience and innovative solutions for resilient water-system development.
The forum is intended to strengthen practical cooperation in water-resource protection, water-environment governance and climate adaptation between China and African countries, while laying a technical foundation for laboratory co-construction and long-term bilateral collaboration.

China-Africa Belt and Road Climate Change and Resilient Water System Laboratory — Preparatory
This high-level supporting activity focuses on the institutional development and long-term operation of the proposed laboratory. Ministerial-level officials will discuss the co-construction mechanism, research priorities, talent-development plan and project-cooperation model.
The preparatory laboratory will be formally inaugurated, marking the launch of a long-term China-Africa collaborative research platform for climate change and resilient water systems.
